JTBC's "Welcome to Samdal-ri" is a story about a dragon named Jo Sam-dal (Shin Hye-sun), who left the creeks and ascended to heaven unlike Jo Yong-pil who's always been the protector of the creeks, losing everything and returning to her hometown to catch her breath. Yong-pil and Sam-dal are partners born and raised in Samdal-ri, Jeju Island.

Yong-pil becomes a forecaster after losing his mother, a haenyeo, due to weather misinformation. He is a troublemaker who can't be controlled by the Jeju Meteorological Administration. He presents a counterargument to the weather forecast issued by the main office and engages in a war of words with the head of the Korea Meteorological Administration. Sam-dal is a famous photographer. She is active under her stage name Jo Eun-hye. From an early age, she dreamed of 'growing up and leaving the island quickly', and as soon as she escaped to Seoul, she endured eight years as an assistant and became the top. She collapses at one moment due to an event and returns to the stream.

"Welcome to Samdal-ri" is directed by Cha Yeong-hoon of "When the Camellia Blooms" (2019) and writer Kwon Hye-joo of "Go Back Couple" (2017). It will be broadcast in the second half of the year.
